Saudi state television said authorities halted operations at the Ras Tanura refinery, located near Dammam, as a precautionary measure after the attack.
Earlier, the Saudi Defence Ministry stated that two drones were intercepted in the area. Debris from the drones reportedly fell within the refinery premises, triggering a fire at the oil facility.
Officials said emergency teams responded promptly and brought the situation under control. No immediate reports of casualties were released.
