Saudi Arabia Completes 30 Days of Ramadan, Eid Al Fitr on Friday March 20
Saudi Arabia's Supreme Court announced that the crescent was not sighted on March 18, so Eid Al Fitr will be observed on Friday, March 20.

The Kingdom’s Supreme Court confirmed on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, that the Shawwal crescent moon was not visible. Ramadan will therefore complete its full 30 days, and Eid Al Fitr 1447 AH will be celebrated on Friday, March 20, 2026.
The court reviewed reports and testimonies from observation teams across multiple regions before issuing the announcement through Saudi state media.
Thursday, March 19 will be the 30th and final day of fasting across the Kingdom.
Eid prayers on Friday will take place at the Grand Mosque in Makkah, the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, and at mosques and prayer grounds nationwide. Large gatherings of residents and pilgrims are expected across the country.
Many countries including Pakistan, India, and other Gulf states look to Saudi Arabia’s moon sighting announcement when deciding their own Eid date.
Eid Mubarak. May Allah accept your fasting and prayers.
