RJD leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav has been booked in Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra for a controversial social media post targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In Shahjahanpur, UP, an FIR was registered at the Sadar Bazar Police Station following a complaint by BJP city president Shilpi Gupta. The complaint cited an “indecorous comment” shared from the official RJD handle, which allegedly read: “Today, the vote thief will come to Gaya, Bihar, and will tell lie after lie in front of the Biharis.”

Meanwhile, in Maharashtra’s Gadchiroli district, a separate FIR was registered based on a complaint by BJP MLA Milind Narote. In this case, Yadav faces charges under BNS Sections 196 (promoting enmity between groups), 356 (defamation), 352 (intentional insult to provoke breach of peace), and 353 (statements causing public mischief).
