Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a campaign rally in Aurangabad, Bihar on Tuesday. He accused the PM of deliberately encouraging young people to spend their time making social media reels to keep them distracted from serious issues.

Speaking to supporters, Gandhi said the government wants youth to stay busy with Instagram, Facebook, and creating reels because this prevents them from asking tough questions about unemployment, education, and healthcare.

“The Prime Minister wants you to become addicted to social media. This is the new addiction of the 21st century,” Gandhi told the crowd. “He wants young people so distracted that they never hold his government responsible for failing to provide jobs, quality education, and proper healthcare.”

The former Congress president also made serious allegations about the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. He claimed that PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are trying to steal votes because they know the ruling NDA alliance cannot win fairly.

Gandhi promised that if the opposition INDIA bloc wins in Bihar, it will form a government that truly represents extremely backward classes, marginalized communities, and Dalits.

He didn’t hold back in criticizing Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar either. Gandhi accused Kumar of turning Bihar’s youth into migrant laborers who have to leave their home state to find work.

The Congress leader also highlighted the recurring problem of exam paper leaks in Bihar, saying these scandals only benefit wealthy students who can afford to buy leaked papers, while poor students suffer.

Gandhi’s rally is part of the ongoing campaign for Bihar’s assembly elections, where the opposition is trying to challenge the current NDA government led by Nitish Kumar and supported by the BJP.
