College Student Killed in Midnight Collision with Lorry on Bhatkal Highway
The 17-year-old was killed instantly after his motorcycle collided with a lorry at Tenginagundi cross.

BHATKAL: An 17-year-old college student lost his life in a tragic road accident late Wednesday night after his scooter collided with a lorry on the National Highway near Tenginagundi Cross.
The victim has been identified as Mohammed Mohtisham, son of Anis Mohtisham, a resident of Firdaus Nagar. He was a student at the local Ali Public College.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred around midnight. A lorry carrying a shipment of plywood was traveling from Kerala towards Mumbai when Mohtisham, riding his scooter, entered the main highway from a crossroad. He was struck by the oncoming vehicle and died instantly at the scene from the severe impact.
As news of the fatal crash spread, local residents gathered at the location. Bhatkal Town Police were alerted and arrived to manage the situation. The body of the deceased was later shifted to the Government Hospital for post-mortem procedures.
Police have registered a case and have begun an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the collision.
