PM Modi Meets Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Explores AI Partnerships
Discussions focus on boosting AI collaboration between Google and India’s students and professionals.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday met with Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and its parent firm Alphabet Inc., to discuss potential collaboration in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit being held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Pichai is currently in India to attend the summit, which has drawn global leaders, policymakers, and technology experts.
In a post on X, Prime Minister Modi described the meeting as productive and highlighted India’s growing efforts in the AI sector. He said the discussions focused on the progress India has made in artificial intelligence and how Google could partner with Indian students and professionals to strengthen skills and innovation in the field.
Earlier this week, the Prime Minister also visited the India AI Impact Expo at the same venue. The expo features more than 600 promising startups and 13 country pavilions, reflecting strong international participation and cooperation in the AI ecosystem.
The summit has attracted significant global attention, with over 20 heads of state, 60 ministers, and around 500 AI leaders from across the world taking part in the event.
