Photo Shows Jeffrey Epstein with Sacred Kaaba Cloth Placed on Floor
Newly released image from the Epstein files reveals the convicted sex offender and a Gulf businessman looking at the holy Kiswa cloth from Mecca.

A newly released photograph from the US Department of Justice shows convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and a prominent Gulf businessman standing over what appears to be the sacred Kiswa cloth from Mecca, placed on the floor.
The image, dated May 8, 2014, shows both men looking down at the black and gold embroidered cloth that covers Islam’s holiest site, the Kaaba. The cloth is treated with deep reverence by Muslims and is not meant to be laid on the ground.
Recent email disclosures also revealed that pieces of the Kiswa cloth were shipped to Epstein’s Florida home in 2017, arranged through contacts in the Gulf region. One email described the cloth as having been “touched by millions” of pilgrims during Hajj.
The businessman, who leads a major global ports and logistics company, maintained a long correspondence with Epstein. Other released emails show them exchanging degrading comments about women and making inappropriate jokes about religion and terrorism.
The photograph and emails have sparked outrage among Muslims worldwide, given the disrespect shown toward a sacred Islamic relic and the nature of the exchanges.
