The Health Ministry in Gaza has announced that the Palestinian death toll has reached at least 64,368 since October 2023, as Israel’s military offensive continues to devastate the enclave. In the past 24 hours alone, five more Palestinians have died due to starvation, bringing the total famine-related deaths to 387, including 138 children.

Hospitals received 87 bodies and treated 409 injured people in the last day, raising total injuries to over 162,700. Many victims remain trapped beneath rubble or inaccessible areas where rescuers are unable to reach them amid active bombardments.

The ministry also reported that 31 Palestinians were killed, and more than 132 were wounded by Israeli gunfire while trying to access humanitarian aid. Since May 27, over 2,400 Palestinians have been killed and 17,700 wounded while seeking aid.

Since March 2, Israel has closed all border crossings into Gaza, pushing the densely populated region into a man-made famine. Humanitarian organizations warn that without urgent intervention, the crisis will worsen, endangering millions of lives.

The ongoing conflict, now surpassing 700 days, has caused unprecedented destruction and suffering, prompting global calls for ceasefire and accountability for alleged war crimes.
