Pakistan Airstrikes in Afghanistan Kill 10 Civilians, Including Nine Children
Taliban government reports deadly strikes on residential areas in Khost province as cross-border tensions escalate between the two nations.

Kabul – At least 10 civilians were killed in Pakistani airstrikes on Afghanistan late Monday night, according to Taliban officials, further straining relations between the neighboring countries.
The strikes targeted a residential home in the Gerbaz district of Khost province, resulting in the deaths of nine children and one woman, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid confirmed.
Speaking on social media platform X, Mujahid said the attack occurred around midnight, hitting the house of a local resident named Wilayat Khan in the Mughalgay area. “Five boys and four girls were martyred along with one woman, and the home was completely destroyed,” he stated.
Additional airstrikes in the border regions of Kunar and Paktika provinces left four more civilians injured, the spokesman added.
The bombardment follows a suicide attack in Pakistan’s Peshawar city on Sunday, which targeted the headquarters of the Federal Constabulary, a paramilitary force. That attack killed three officers and wounded 11 others.
The latest violence highlights growing tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan, with both countries accusing each other of harboring militants who launch cross-border attacks.
Neither Pakistani officials nor independent sources have yet confirmed the details of the airstrikes or the reported casualties.
