Hyderabad, August 29, 2025 — AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi launched a sharp attack on RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, urging him not to burden Indian women with his recent “three children per family” suggestion.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with PTI Videos, Mr. Owaisi said: “Who are you to enter into people’s family lives? Why are you trying to put a burden on Indian women, who might have their own different priorities? This is a classic double-speak of RSS.”

Citing the 2011 Census, the Hyderabad MP pointed out that the Muslim population growth rate has been declining, standing at 14.23%, compared to nearly 80% Hindus.

Mr. Owaisi also accused the RSS and its affiliated organisations of spreading anti-Muslim hatred, recalling statements made by Mr. Bhagwat in the past that, according to him, portrayed Muslims in derogatory terms. “Who is holding dharam sansads and calling for genocide of Muslims and rape of women? These are RSS-supported organisations,” he alleged.

Targeting the Modi government, the AIMIM chief further claimed that “hate against Muslims has been institutionalised during Narendra Modi’s tenure.” He added that it was time for the people of India to politically retire the BJP in the upcoming elections.

On the issue of the two-nation theory, Mr. Owaisi reminded that it was first propounded by V.D. Savarkar in 1937 at a Hindu Mahasabha session in Ahmedabad, and later espoused by the Muslim League in 1940.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, while addressing a gathering on August 28, had suggested that every Indian family should have three children to maintain population balance, while also asserting that the RSS does not believe in attacking anyone on religious grounds.
