New Shams School Student Falah M.J Crowned National Karate Champion

Bengaluru: Falah M.J., a talented Grade IX student from New Shams School, has achieved national recognition by winning the gold medal at the CISCE National Level Karate Tournament 2025. The prestigious event was held from September 14th to 18th at the Padukone–Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence.

Competing in the Under-17 Boys Kumite category (–50 kg), Falah demonstrated exceptional skill and determination. He began his campaign with dominant 8–0 victories over competitors from both the Bihar & Jharkhand region and Maharashtra.

His final match against a skilled opponent from Kerala was a tough contest. In a close and exciting fight, Falah emerged victorious with a final score of 3–2, securing his position as the national champion.

Falah’s journey to the national title included earlier victories where he won Gold at the Zonal Championship in Davangere and the Regional Championship for Karnataka & Goa in Bangalore.

In a statement, New Shams School celebrated Falah’s incredible achievement and acknowledged the important roles played by his coach, Mr. Amar Shabandari of AKFA, and the school’s Physical Education Teacher, Mr. Shammas. The school also extended its gratitude to the management for their continuous support.
