New Israeli Attacks Kill 33 in Gaza, Breaking Ceasefire
Air strikes hit camps and homes just days after truce began, endangering the fragile peace agreement.

GAZA – Israeli air strikes killed at least 33 people in different parts of Gaza on Sunday, breaking a nine-day-old ceasefire that had temporarily stopped the fighting.
The attacks hit several areas:
- A group of civilians in Al-Zawayda town (6 killed)
- A tent camp for displaced people near Khan Yunis (a woman and two children killed)
- A club area in Nuseirat camp (2 killed)
- Jabalia in northern Gaza (2 killed)
Ceasefire Being Broken
Hamas says Israel has broken the ceasefire agreement 46 times since it began on October 10th. They report that nearly half of those killed were children, women, or elderly people. One family – the Abu Shaban family – was completely wiped out, including seven children and two women.
Hamas called these attacks “an attempt to sabotage the peace agreement.”
Confusing Situation for Civilians
Meanwhile, the Israeli army published a map telling Gazans to stay in certain “safe zones” and avoid areas marked in red, which they call “highly dangerous.”
These new attacks threaten to destroy the peace agreement that had already brought some good results:
- Prisoners were released on both sides
- Aid was reaching Gaza
- Israeli troops had pulled back from some areas
The violence puts at risk the larger peace plan that included rebuilding Gaza and creating new leadership.
