Nawaat Mehfil Bhatkal Organizes Nawati Geet Competition, Young Talents Shine

Bhatkal, August 16, 2025: The voices of tradition came alive in Bhatkal as Nawaat Mehfil hosted a Nawati Geet competition for students, providing them a stage to celebrate their cultural heritage through song. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with young performers showcasing their command over Nawati language, correct pronunciation, and heartfelt delivery.

Nawati Geet, an age-old form of poetry and singing in Bhatkal’s native tongue, carries deep cultural significance. Organizers stressed that this competition was more than just entertainment; it was about safeguarding a community’s heritage and passing it on to the younger generation.
