Muslim World League Issues Global Call for Funeral Prayers for Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti, Sheikh Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh

The Muslim World League (MWL) has requested its affiliated Islamic centers and mosques worldwide to perform the absentee funeral prayer (Salat al-Gha’ib) for His Eminence Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Al-Sheikh.

Sheikh Abdulaziz was the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a major figure in the global Islamic community. In addition to his role as Grand Mufti, he served as the Chairman of the Council of Senior Scholars and the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Muslim World League.

The call for the special prayer allows Muslims around the world to honor the late scholar and pray for him.

In its statement, the Muslim World League offered a prayer for the deceased, asking Allah to “have mercy upon him and grant him the highest place in Paradise.”
