“Manne Manne Ge Police”: Uttara Kannada Police Launches Door-to-Door Awareness Drive to Strengthen Public Safety and Trust

Bhatkal (Fikrokhabar News): In a major community outreach initiative titled “Manne Manne Ge Police” (Police at Every Doorstep), the Karnataka State Police has launched a public-friendly campaign aimed at building stronger relationships between the police and local communities. The campaign is currently being implemented across the Uttara Kannada district under the leadership of SP Deepan M N.
This program, part of a state-wide effort, aims to remove misconceptions about the police force and create a more cooperative environment between law enforcement and citizens. As part of the initiative, specially assigned beat constables are visiting homes in their respective areas to interact with families and spread awareness on various issues related to safety and law enforcement.
During these visits, police personnel are offering valuable information and guidance on:
- Women and child safety
- Road safety and avoiding the use of mobile phones while driving
- Cybercrime awareness
- Dangers of drugs (narcotics) and gambling
- How to report incidents like harassment or other illegal activities
The police are also collecting basic contact details such as the name of the head of the household, mobile number, and address, to help with emergency response and future communication. Residents are kindly requested to cooperate and share this information for the success of the program.
In a proactive step to combat drug abuse, SP Deepan M N has also introduced a QR code system. This allows citizens to anonymously report any individuals involved in drug use or trafficking. The identity of the informant will be kept completely confidential, ensuring a safe and secure way to support the police.

Local social organization Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem has welcomed the campaign and urged all residents of Bhatkal and surrounding areas to support the efforts of the Uttara Kannada Police. “This is a very important and timely initiative to make our communities safer and more aware. We request everyone to cooperate fully,” a statement from the organisation said.
The police encourage all residents to actively participate, raise any concerns they may have, and work together for a safer, drug-free, and more respectful society.
