Maintenance of the Ka’bah Successfully Completed Early Today
The routine upkeep of the Holy Ka'bah has finished, with access to worshippers to be restored soon.

The periodic maintenance of the Holy Ka’bah was completed in the early hours today, marking the conclusion of scheduled restoration and repair work. The project, supervised by the Ministry of Finance’s Project Management Department, involved careful treatment of the structure’s stone walls, roof, and wooden elements using advanced technology and high-quality materials.
This routine maintenance is part of ongoing efforts to preserve the Ka’bah’s safety and cleanliness for the millions of pilgrims who visit each year. Among the tasks completed were repairs to the water drainage system on the roof and fixing the rings that hold the Ka’bah’s cover in place. The renovation also included work on the doors and marble surfaces, all done according to international standards.
These maintenance activities took place after the recent Hajj season, which saw over 2.5 million pilgrims perform the sacred rites in Makkah. Authorities have ensured that the Ka’bah is in the best condition ahead of the upcoming Umrah season and other religious events. Access to the area around the Ka’bah will be restored to worshippers later today, allowing them to continue their devotions uninterrupted.
The maintenance reflects the ongoing commitment by Saudi officials to provide the highest standards of care and service to pilgrims visiting Islam’s holiest site.
