Karnataka Government Committed to Establishing Super Speciality Hospital in Karwar: Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar
Deputy Chief Minister assures the people of Karwar that the government will fulfill its long-standing demand for modern healthcare facilities.
Karwar (Fikrokhabar News) – Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister, D.K. Shivakumar, stated on Sunday that the establishment of a super speciality hospital in Karwar is the responsibility of the state government. He emphasized that the government is fully committed to meeting the long-standing healthcare needs of the local community.
Speaking at the Karwali Utsava held at Ravindra Nath Tagore Beach in Karwar, D.K. Shivakumar highlighted the repeated requests made by local MLA, Satish Sail, regarding the challenges faced by residents of Karwar and surrounding areas in accessing modern medical facilities. Currently, many have to travel to Goa, Udupi, or Mangalore for advanced healthcare. The Deputy Chief Minister assured the crowd that the government stands with the people and will work to ensure high-quality healthcare services are provided locally.
Shivakumar also acknowledged the support of the people of Uttara Kannada district, who have strengthened the government by electing five MLAs from the region. He assured that the government has fulfilled its promises by implementing five key guarantees. “Your support has empowered us, and we will remain committed to our pledges,” he stated.
Additionally, D.K. Shivakumar announced plans to create a separate tourism policy aimed at generating employment opportunities for the youth in coastal areas and preventing migration. An important meeting regarding this policy will be held on January 10 in Mangalore. According to him, the goal is to provide employment opportunities at the doorstep of the people.
Referring to Uttara Kannada as a unique region, the Deputy Chief Minister highlighted its rich biodiversity, scenic Western Ghats, beautiful coastline, diverse culture, languages, traditions, and natural beauty. He also mentioned that the sea is a source of strength for the region, providing livelihood for fishermen and attracting tourists.
