Jeddah, October 31 – In a commendable effort to support the younger generation, the Bhatkal Community Jeddah Career Guidance Committee held an impactful youth workshop on Thursday evening at a local residence in the city.

The event brought together dozens of young community members for an interactive session on character building, moral values, and understanding the challenges of growing up from an Islamic perspective. Leading the discussion was Maulana Muhammad Amin Ruknuddin, a well-known from Bhatkal’s Noor Masjid, who happened to be in Jeddah during this time.

Understanding that different age groups have different learning needs, organizers split the evening into two parts. Teenagers between 12 and 18 years attended the first session, which dealt with more advanced topics. Younger children, from age 7 onwards, joined the second session with age-appropriate content.

Maulana Amin spoke candidly about the teenage years, describing them as both challenging and full of opportunity. “This is when young people truly begin forming who they will become,” he explained. “If we can help them build a strong foundation now, it will benefit them throughout their lives.”

The evening wasn’t just lectures. Participants got hands-on learning too, with practical prayer demonstrations that highlighted common mistakes people make and showed better techniques for staying focused during worship.

What makes this event particularly noteworthy is how the Bhatkal community in Jeddah consistently seizes opportunities for learning. Whenever scholars or notable figures pass through the city, locals quickly organize gatherings so everyone can benefit from their expertise.

Community leaders say these regular educational initiatives help keep families connected to their faith while addressing real-world concerns that young people face today. For parents attending the event, it was a chance to see their children engage meaningfully with religious guidance in a supportive environment.

The success of Thursday’s program has already sparked discussions about planning similar events in the coming months.
