Jazeera Airways Plans Charter Flights Between Kuwait and Mangaluru via Dammam from April 8
Bi-weekly service likely to begin with road transfer to Dammam and possible expansion in frequency.

Mangaluru is expected to get a new travel option soon as Kuwait-based low-cost carrier Jazeera Airways is likely to introduce special charter flights connecting Kuwait and the coastal city via Dammam starting April 8, 2026.
According to sources, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation has granted approval for these operations. The flights are planned to run twice a week, specifically on Wednesdays and Sundays.
The travel arrangement includes a combined road and air journey. Passengers will first be transported by road from Kuwait to Dammam, a trip that takes around six hours. Along the way, there will be a mandatory stop at the Saudi border for routine checks before reaching Dammam airport. From there, passengers will board the flight to Mangaluru. The same process will be followed for the return journey, including border checks before entering Kuwait.
As per the proposed schedule, Flight J9 3417 will leave Kuwait at 8:40 am local time and arrive in Mangaluru at 4:10 pm IST. The return flight, J9 3418, will depart Mangaluru at 4:55 pm IST and land in Kuwait at 7:40 pm local time.
Jazeera Airways had previously operated charter flights on this route during the pandemic period. Sources also indicate that the airline is exploring the possibility of increasing the frequency to four flights per week, depending on further approvals.
