Even as the world watches the unfolding war between the United States and Iran, Israeli forces have not let up on their military campaign in Gaza. Fresh strikes have killed three Palestinians and left several others wounded.

In one attack, Israeli forces struck a civilian vehicle near the entrance of the Maghazi refugee camp, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa. A man was killed on the spot, and several other people were injured. The wounded were rushed to Al Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el Balah for treatment.

In a separate incident, an Israeli air attack hit a neighborhood east of Gaza City. That strike claimed the lives of two more people.

The latest killings add to a grim tally. Since the so called ceasefire of last year, Israeli attacks have killed at least 709 Palestinians, with more than 1,900 others wounded. Those numbers come from Wafa, which has been tracking casualties throughout the conflict.

Looking at the broader picture, the total number of Palestinians killed in Gaza since October 2023 has now reached 72,291. The majority of the dead are women and children.

International attention may have shifted toward Iran, but on the ground in Gaza, the bombs have not stopped falling.
