Israel Says It Will Restart Gaza Ceasefire After Sunday’s Attacks
Hamas leaders travel to Egypt for talks as Israel stops aid trucks and then agrees to resume truce.

The Israeli army says it will start following the Gaza ceasefire again after both sides broke the truce on Sunday.
Earlier, Israel had launched many air strikes and stopped all humanitarian aid from entering Gaza. They accused Hamas of breaking the ceasefire first.
Now, Israel says it will resume “enforcing the ceasefire” after what it called “significant strikes in response to Hamas’ violations.”
Key developments:
- Aid blocked: Israel stopped all aid trucks from entering Gaza on Sunday
- Hamas in Egypt: A Hamas delegation traveled to Egypt to discuss the ceasefire agreement
- Temporary truce: Both sides had agreed to stop fighting on October 10th
The ceasefire agreement had included:
- Prisoner exchanges between Israel and Hamas
- Plans to rebuild Gaza
- Creation of new leadership in Gaza without Hamas
This comes after nearly two years of war that has killed about 68,200 people and injured over 170,200 in Gaza, according to local health officials.
Both sides now say they want to return to the ceasefire, though the situation remains tense.
