‘Israel Killed International Law in Gaza,’ Palestinian Official Tells Al Jazeera Forum
Mustafa Barghouti says Palestinian steadfastness amid genocide shows the failure of Israel’s military campaign.

At the Al Jazeera Forum focusing on geopolitical shifts in the Middle East, Mustafa Barghouti, secretary-general of the Palestinian National Initiative, declared that Israel has “killed international law in Gaza.”
Barghouti stated that the resilience of Palestinians in Gaza, despite what he described as genocide, demonstrates “the failure of Israel” to achieve its strategic objectives through military force.
His remarks were made during a panel discussing the broader regional implications of Israel’s ongoing war, which has killed more than 71,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and displaced nearly the entire population of the enclave.
Barghouti’s comments underscore a growing sentiment among Palestinian leaders and international observers that Israel’s military campaign has operated with impunity, violating established international humanitarian norms.
