Islamic Ruling on Dying on Friday or Sacred Days
Islamic scholars explain that a person who dies on Friday or its night is protected from the trial of the grave, and hope is also held for those who die in Ramadan, Aashura, or the Day of Arafah.
According to the fatwa, Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever dies on Friday or the night of Friday, Allah protects him from the trials of the grave.” This is recorded in Tirmidhi (1074).
