Hit-and-Run on NH 66 Claims Life of Motorcyclist in Ucchila
Padubidri: A man riding a motorcycle was killed in a hit-and-run accident on National Highway 66 in Ucchila during the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The Padubidri Police have launched an investigation into the incident. According to their initial reports, the victim was traveling from Udupi towards Mangaluru. The motorcycle he was riding has a Puttur registration plate, but the identity of the rider has not yet been confirmed.
Officials stated that the man suffered severe head injuries after being thrown onto the road from the impact of the collision. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
After the accident, local social workers and members of the Muloor Ambulance services helped transport the victim’s body to a nearby hospital. Police have conducted a full inspection of the crash site and are asking for any information that could help identify the vehicle that fled the scene.
