Hate Speech Will Not Be Tolerated, Action Assured: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah
CM warns of strict legal action against anyone making inflammatory speeches that disturb social harmony in the state

Mangaluru – Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has made it clear that the state government will not allow anyone to deliver hate speeches or make inflammatory remarks that could disrupt peace and harmony in society.
Speaking to media representatives at Mangaluru Airport, the Chief Minister stated that strict action would be taken against individuals who make speeches intended to divide communities, spread hatred, or disturb public order. He emphasized that immediate FIRs (First Information Reports) will be filed against such offenders to protect social harmony.
The CM specifically referenced recent remarks made by Kundapura’s Prabhakar Bhat, who allegedly made offensive comments about women during a public address. Siddaramaiah stated that action against him is necessary and inevitable.
“We cannot and will not tolerate any form of speech that aims to create divisions in our society or hurt the sentiments of any community,” the Chief Minister said. He assured that the government remains committed to maintaining peace and will deal firmly with anyone attempting to disrupt communal harmony through provocative statements.
The statement comes amid growing concerns about hate speech incidents in various parts of the state. The government’s firm stance signals zero tolerance for inflammatory rhetoric that threatens social stability.
