The fatal accident took place around 1 am at Pangappara Manguzhy in Sreekaryam. According to police, Ragesh’s motorcycle crashed into a Swift electric bus operated by KSRTC. The bus was traveling towards Vikas Bhavan after being charged at the Kaniyapuram depot.

Ragesh suffered severe head injuries in the collision and died at the spot. His motorcycle was completely destroyed in the impact.

Police revealed that the families of both Ragesh and his bride were reportedly against their relationship. Despite the opposition, the couple had decided to go ahead with their marriage by getting married at a temple first and registering it officially later. They had even rented a house in Chanthavila to start their new life together.

On the night of the accident, Ragesh was returning home after visiting a relative when the tragedy occurred.

Sreekaryam police have launched a detailed investigation into the incident. Officers are currently examining CCTV footage from the area to understand what led to the accident. A formal case will be registered once the preliminary investigation is complete.

The body will be handed over to the family after a postmortem examination is conducted.
