Grand Cultural Program by Al-Lajnah Al-Arabiyyah of Jamia Islamia Bhatkal’s Secondary Section Showcases Students’ Talent
Students impress audience with multilingual performances; “Waqf Bill – Courtroom” presentation becomes main highlight
Bhatkal: A grand cultural program organized by the Arabic Committee (Al-Lajnah Al-Arabiyyah) of the Secondary Section of Jamia Islamia Bhatkal turned into a vibrant blend of knowledge, creativity, culture, and intellectual expression. The event, held at 8:30 pm in the Secondary Section campus, reflected the students’ academic maturity and their wide-ranging talents.
The program began with a soulful recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by a collective naat that filled the atmosphere with devotion and love for the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Group anthems presented in Arabic, Urdu, Persian, English, and Kannada highlighted the students’ strong linguistic abilities. Thought-provoking dialogues in Arabic, Urdu, and English further engaged the audience and conveyed meaningful ideas in an impressive manner.
The most prominent and attention-grabbing segment of the evening was a special stage presentation titled “Waqf Bill – Courtroom”. This performance addressed contemporary social and legal issues with seriousness, awareness, and clarity. It not only informed the audience but also encouraged them to reflect on their responsibilities toward society. Another notable segment focused on Muslim scientists, effectively showcasing the scientific contributions and intellectual legacy of the Muslim Ummah.
Talks based on solutions to social problems in the light of the Holy Qur’an and presentations on Qur’anic miracles left a deep impact on the audience. A documentary highlighting the annual activities of the Arabic Committee was also screened, presenting its educational, intellectual, and outreach efforts in a well-organized manner. The committee’s annual report was presented by its Secretary, Raid Qazi.
The program concluded with a heartfelt dua by Jamia teacher Maulana Syed Salik Nadvi, presented gracefully by Raid Qazi and his team.
Addressing the gathering, Jamia’s Rector, Maulana Maqbool Ahmad Nadvi, congratulated the students for their excellent performances and praised the dedicated efforts of the teachers. He emphasized that Jamia is committed to the holistic education and moral upbringing of its students, and that administrators and teachers are working tirelessly toward this goal. He also urged parents and guardians to actively support the educational and moral development of their children and to remain vigilant in protecting them from societal evils.
The event stood out for its discipline, organization, and intellectual depth. Teachers, guests, and attendees appreciated the efforts of the Arabic Committee, noting that such cultural and intellectual programs play a vital role in personality development, confidence building, and the overall grooming of students.
