“Gaza is Burning and the World is Watching,”

In a grim warning, Khalil al-Daqran, spokesperson for Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah, said that Gaza is facing “a very tragic” situation as Israel’s policy of starvation continues, leaving children, pregnant women, and the elderly dying first.
He explained that after Israeli forces stepped up assaults in northern Gaza and Gaza City, hundreds of thousands have been forced to flee, while many others refuse to leave because conditions in the south are just as dire.
“Most Palestinians in the north are without food, water, and electricity,” al-Daqran stressed. “The healthcare sector is collapsing and cannot meet the crisis.”
According to him, many in the north “prefer death to fleeing south,” where no space, no services, and no safety await them.
Summing up the humanitarian disaster, al-Daqran declared:
“Gaza is burning — and the world is watching.”
