Fresh Clashes at Afghanistan-Pakistan Border Amid Rising Tensions
Fighting in Kandahar province follows recent Pakistani airstrikes, further straining relations between Kabul and Islamabad.

KABUL – New fighting was reported on Wednesday between Afghan and Pakistani forces along the Durand Line, the border separating the two countries. This latest incident deepens the growing conflict between the two neighbors.
According to Afghanistan’s Khaama Press, the clashes took place in the Shorabak district of Kandahar province and had been ongoing since early Tuesday morning.
This new confrontation comes just a week after Pakistan conducted airstrikes in Afghanistan’s Kabul and Paktika provinces, which significantly raised tensions.
So far, neither the government in Kabul nor officials in Islamabad have released any official statements regarding casualties or the extent of the damage from the latest fighting.
