Five Killed in Early Morning Bus–Van Collision in Madhya Pradesh
Six injured in high-speed crash on National Highway 719 near Gohad; victims shifted to Gwalior.

Bhopal: At least five people were killed and six others seriously injured in a tragic road accident in Madhya Pradesh early Saturday morning.
The collision took place between a passenger bus and a van near Chhamka village, close to Gul Dhaba, under the Gohad Chauraha police station limits on National Highway 719.
According to reports, the accident occurred between 2 am and 3 am on the Gwalior–Etawah Highway. The bus was returning to Gwalior after dropping off a wedding procession in Bhind. As it reached near Chhamka, it collided head-on with a van that was travelling from Gwalior towards Bhind.
The impact was so severe that the van was completely mangled. Five people travelling in the van died on the spot, while six others sustained serious injuries.
Rescue and Medical Response
Police and emergency services rushed to the scene after receiving information about the crash. Dial 112 teams, along with ambulances, shifted 11 injured persons to Gohad Hospital. Doctors declared four persons brought dead, while the critically injured were later referred to Gwalior for advanced treatment.
Identification of Victims
According to Gohad Square Police Station in-charge Manish Dhakad, three of the deceased have been identified. They include Jagdish Bhadouria from Seondha in Datia district, Atul Shiv Hare, a pharmacist from Bhind, and Pradeep, a youth from Bhind. The identities of the remaining two victims are yet to be confirmed.
Among the injured are Santosh, a resident of Maroli village in Mehgaon area, and his 10-year-old daughter Kittu. Others injured include 61-year-old Meera Devi, 50-year-old Sukhbir Singh, 60-year-old Bhogi Nath from Mehgaon, and 61-year-old Mewaram from Gohad. All have been referred to Gwalior due to the seriousness of their injuries.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
