Fikrokhabar Extends Deadline for Online Naat Competition
Bhatkal: Fikrokhabar has announced an extension for its online Naat competition for children, organized by its ‘Naghmat-e-Fikr’ department in celebration of Rabi’ al-Awwal. Following numerous requests from parents and guardians, the deadline for video submissions has been moved from September 28th to October 8th.
The competition is open to children from the coastal Karnataka districts of Uttara Kannada, Udupi, and Mangalore, regardless of where they currently live. Participants must register and submit their details through a Google Form to enter.
This event is part of Fikrokhabar’s ongoing efforts to engage the community through various educational and cultural contests, which have previously included quizzes, Hifz competitions, and seminars on Fiqh Shafi’i, attracting thousands of students.
Competition Details:
The competition is divided into three groups:
- Boys up to 8 years old
- Girls up to 8 years old
- Boys aged 9 to 14
Rules and Guidelines:
- Age Limit: The maximum age for girls is 8 years, and for boys is 14 years. Children under 4 are not eligible for the competition but are welcome to send in their Naat videos.
- Content: The Naat must be free of any polytheistic (shirk) themes.
- Dress Code: Participants must adhere to a modest, Sharia-compliant dress code.
- Audio: No audio editing or effects will be permitted.
- Video Length: Videos must be between one and three minutes long.
- Social Media: Participants should not be social media influencers or well-known personalities.
- Judging: Extra points will be awarded based on the number of views and likes the videos receive. The decision of the judges will be final.
Prizes: The top three winners in each group will receive awards. Additionally, five other participants from each group will be recognized with special prizes.
