Explosions Rock Venezuela Including Capital Caracas; US Claims Responsibility for Attacks
Emergency declared in Venezuela as conflicting statements emerge over President Nicolás Maduro’s whereabouts.

Caracas/Washington (Fikrokhabar News): Panic spread across Venezuela on Tuesday after loud explosions were reported in several parts of the country, including the capital, Caracas. The United States later confirmed that it had carried out attacks inside Venezuela.
Videos circulating on social media showed thick plumes of smoke rising into the sky and fires breaking out in multiple buildings following the explosions. The incidents triggered widespread concern among residents and prompted an immediate response from Venezuelan authorities.
In view of the seriousness of the situation, the office of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro announced the imposition of a nationwide state of emergency. According to official sources, security forces have been placed on high alert and surveillance around key installations has been significantly tightened.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump made a dramatic claim on his social media platform, Truth Social, stating that Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife had been arrested and taken out of the country. Trump also announced that he would soon address the media in a major press conference from his Florida residence, Mar-a-Lago.
However, Venezuela’s Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, speaking on state television, said there was no confirmed information regarding the whereabouts of President Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores. “We do not have verified information about the current condition of the President and the First Lady. We demand proof that they are alive,” she said.
The reported US attacks have drawn strong condemnation from several countries, including Russia, Iran and Venezuela’s neighbouring nations. Many global powers have described the strikes as a clear violation of international law. The international community has expressed deep concern over the rapidly developing situation, warning that tensions in the region could escalate further.
