Eid al-Fitr Celebrated with Devotion and Unity in Bhatkal
Thousands gather for Eid prayers as message of peace, forgiveness, and social harmony echoed

Bhatkal (Fikrokhabar News): Eid al-Fitr was celebrated with great joy, devotion, and religious spirit across Bhatkal on Friday, with large gatherings witnessed at the Eidgah. The occasion marked the end of the holy month of Ramadan, bringing together the community in a spirit of unity and gratitude.
A massive number of worshippers assembled for the special Eid prayer, filling not only the Eidgah grounds but also the surrounding areas. The Eid procession (Julus) began from Jamia Masjid, Bhatkal, and proceeded towards the Eidgah Maidan.
The Eid prayer was led by Maulana Khaja Mohiuddin Akrami Madani. Following the prayer, a heartfelt address was delivered by Maulana Khaja Moinuddin Nadvi Madani, who emphasized the importance of gratitude to Allah for the blessing of Islam and urged people to follow its teachings sincerely.
In his speech, he highlighted that Eid is a time to cleanse hearts from jealousy, hatred, and grudges. He encouraged people to forgive one another, strengthen bonds, and promote brotherhood and unity in society. He stressed that true celebration lies in reconnecting with others and building a peaceful and caring community.
The Maulana also advised Muslims to avoid actions that could harm the image of Islam or create misunderstandings among people of other faiths. He reminded that Islam promotes peace, tolerance, and humanity, and called upon individuals to shape their lives according to its values.
Special guidance was given to the youth, urging them to stay away from harmful habits and lead a life enriched with good character and Islamic morals. Women were encouraged to respect their husbands, while children were reminded of their duty to treat parents with kindness, respect, and care.
He further advised the community to seek religious guidance from qualified scholars rather than relying on unverified online sources. Emphasizing the importance of honesty in financial matters, he warned against consuming others’ wealth unjustly and delaying the repayment of debts, describing it as a serious moral and religious failing.
In his concluding remarks, he invited people of other communities to understand the true and peaceful teachings of Islam directly from authentic sources. He also prayed for peace and stability in the Muslim world and expressed gratitude to Allah at the conclusion of Ramadan.
After the prayers, people greeted each other warmly, exchanging Eid wishes and embracing one another. Arrangements were made to ensure smooth facilities for the large gathering.
Eid al-Fitr was also celebrated across coastal Karnataka and parts of Kerala with similar enthusiasm and devotion.
