Dubai-bound IndiGo Flight Makes Precautionary Landing in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, Aug 28 – A Dubai-bound IndiGo flight carrying around 150 passengers from Surat was diverted to Ahmedabad on Thursday morning after the aircraft developed a technical problem during the journey.
The Airbus A320neo, operating as flight 6E 1507, had taken off from Surat at around 9:45 am. About two hours into the flight, the pilot opted for a precautionary landing at Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport for safety reasons. Authorities clarified that the halt was not declared an “emergency landing.”
In a statement, IndiGo confirmed the incident, saying: “IndiGo flight 6E 1507 from Surat to Dubai was diverted to Ahmedabad following a technical snag. The aircraft is undergoing mandatory maintenance checks. Meanwhile, an alternate aircraft was arranged so passengers could continue their journey to Dubai.”
The airline added that affected travelers were provided meals and refreshments during the wait and assured that passenger safety remains the company’s “top priority.”
The replacement aircraft departed Ahmedabad at 1:45 pm and landed safely in Dubai around 1:35 pm local time, according to reports.
This diversion comes just weeks after an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Goa had to make a full emergency landing in Mumbai when one of its engines experienced a failure mid-air.
