Drinking Water Facility Installed Outside Welfare Hospital in Bhatkal
New water unit aims to provide affordable and safe drinking water for patients and the public.

Bhatkal: (Fikrokhabar News) Keeping in view the growing need for clean drinking water and public convenience, Welfare Hospital Bhatkal has set up a special drinking water facility near the hospital’s main entrance. The initiative is aimed at ensuring easy access to safe drinking water for patients, attendants, and the general public.
The facility was formally inaugurated by Maulana Syed Zubair Sahib, local Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Bhatkal. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Maulana Zubair highlighted that clean drinking water is a basic necessity for human health, especially in places like hospitals. He described the initiative as a commendable step towards public welfare.
Also present at the event were Jali Patan Panchayat Vice President Advocate Imran Lanka and Bhatkal Town Municipal Council Chief Officer Venkatesh Nauda. Both appreciated the hospital management for the initiative, stating that such projects greatly benefit not only patients but the wider community as well.
Dr. Zaheer Kola of Welfare Hospital explained the functioning of the water unit, stating that the machine dispenses two litres of clean drinking water for a two-rupee coin, while twenty litres can be obtained for five rupees. He added that the system is designed to benefit a large number of people at a very low cost.
The event was attended by Welfare Hospital Management President S.M. Shakeel, Hospital Manager Syed Abul Aala Barmawar, the PSI of Bhatkal Town, and other members of the hospital administration.
