Dispute Over Money Turns Fatal: Laborer Stabs Colleague to Death in Byndoor

Byndoor, September 15: A persistent financial dispute between two laborers at a rubber plantation tragically culminated in the murder of one on Sunday afternoon. The incident took place in a plantation located in Devara Gudde, Byndoor Taluk.
The deceased has been identified as Binu Philip (45), and the accused is his colleague, Uday Kumar (42). Both men, originally from Kerala, had been working together at the plantation for approximately two years and shared a shed on the property.
According to police reports, the two had been involved in an ongoing conflict regarding a money transaction. On Sunday, at around 1:00 PM, the argument escalated violently. In a fit of rage, Uday Kumar allegedly grabbed a tapping knife a tool used for extracting latex from rubber trees and stabbed Philip in the abdomen.
The wound proved to be fatal, and Binu Philip succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Following the attack, Uday Kumar fled the location. However, Byndoor police launched a search and successfully apprehended him shortly after. He has since been arrested and presented before the court.
A case of murder has been registered by the Byndoor police, and a more detailed investigation into the matter is currently underway.
