Delegation of Citizens from Various Faiths Meets Deputy Commissioner to Address Key Issues in Bhatkal

Bhatkal, (Fikrokhabar News): A delegation comprising members from different religious communities visited Karwar on Thursday to meet with Deputy Commissioner Dr. Lakshmi Priya, Superintendent of Police Deepam, and other key district officials. The purpose of the visit was to highlight the pressing civic issues faced by the residents of Bhatkal and to request prompt government action.
The 11-member delegation included Mr. Ateequr Rahman Muniri, Mr. Manjunath Naik, Mr. Ravi Naik, Mr. Arun Naik (President of Namdhari Samaj), Mr. Fawaz Sakri, Mr. Altaf (Rambo), Mr. Tanveer Kasargod (Engineer), Mr. Mohiuddin, Mr. Rukunuddin, Mr. Javed Armar, and others.
During their individual meetings with the officials, the delegation emphasized several key matters such as:
- Widening and improvement of the main highway
- Upgradation of the underground drainage (UGD) system
- Development of Bhatkal’s coastline as a tourist attraction
- Strict measures to curb drug-related activities in the region
- Overall infrastructure and civic development of the town
The delegation clarified that they were not representing any specific organization, but had come as concerned and responsible citizens committed to the welfare of their town. They also urged the officials to conduct regular visits to Bhatkal and ensure that local department officers stay connected with the general public.
District officials welcomed the delegation warmly and appreciated their proactive civic approach. They assured the group that their concerns had been noted and necessary steps would be taken to address the issues without delay.
