Ceasefire Shatters: Israeli Forces Kill 7 Palestinians in Gaza
Clashes erupt just a day after a US-brokered truce officially ended a two-year war, with both sides accusing the other of violations.

Israeli military forces opened fire in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, killing at least 7 Palestinians, according to health authorities in the enclave. The incident threatens a fragile ceasefire that had just ended a two-year war.
The Israeli military stated that it shot at suspects who approached its forces in northern Gaza. They claimed the individuals had crossed a boundary line established by the recent US-brokered ceasefire agreement, calling it a “violation of the deal” and an action taken to “remove a threat.”
Gaza’s local health authority confirmed that 7 people were killed by Israeli fire in two separate incidents across the territory.
This violence comes just one day after a significant step towards peace. On Monday, the Hamas group released the last living Israeli hostages held in Gaza. In return, Israel freed busloads of Palestinian prisoners as part of the same ceasefire agreement. US President Donald Trump had officially declared an end to the prolonged conflict, which has caused widespread instability across the Middle East.
