Blasts Reported in Doha Amid Claims of Hamas Assassination Attempt

Several loud blasts were reported in Doha, the capital of Qatar, on Tuesday afternoon, according to eyewitnesses. Thick smoke was seen rising from the Katara District, a well-known area of the city.
Axios journalist Barak Ravid, quoting Israeli officials, reported that the explosions may have been linked to an assassination attempt targeting Hamas officials in Doha. However, at the time of reporting, no official confirmation or statement has been released by Qatari authorities.
The incident comes at a time of heightened tensions in the region, where Hamas leaders are known to live in exile in Qatar. Witnesses described the sound of multiple explosions echoing across the city, creating panic in nearby neighborhoods.
Authorities have not yet provided details about the cause of the blasts or possible casualties, and investigations are said to be ongoing.
