At Least 11 People, Including Four Children, Die in Floods and Landslides in Jammu and Kashmir

At least 11 people, including four children, have died due to floods and landslides caused by intense rainfall in the Jammu and Kashmir region administered by India. The disaster struck on Friday night, particularly affecting the Ramban and Reasi areas. Authorities reported that a five-year-old child is still missing and believed to be trapped under debris.

The Indian Meteorological Department confirmed that rainfall levels in the area reached unprecedented heights at two locations, contributing to the severity of the floods and landslides. This recent incident follows earlier devastating floods and flash floods last Wednesday that claimed 41 lives across Jammu and Kashmir.
