Assembly Speaker U.T. Khader Attends Cosmos Sports Centre Cricket Tournament in Bhatkal
Speaker encourages youth participation and sportsmanship during visit to Bhatkal Taluka Stadium.

Bhatkal: Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker U. T. Khader visited Bhatkal in Uttara Kannada district on Saturday and watched a cricket match organised as part of a local tournament conducted by the Cosmos Sports Centre.
Following his participation in a programme at Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen, Bhatkal, Khader proceeded to the Bhatkal Taluka Stadium, where the tournament matches are currently underway. Office-bearers of the Cosmos Sports Centre accompanied him during the visit.
Several prominent community leaders were present on the occasion, including Majlis-e-Islah Wa Tanzeem President and former JD(S) leader Inayathullah Shabandri, Tanzeem Vice-President Atiqur Rahman Muniri, General Secretary Abdul Raqeeb MJ, Cosmos Sports Centre President Ismail Anjum, Mohtisham Complexes Managing Director S. M. Arshad, and former Bhatkal Muslim Youth Federation President Imtiyaz Udyawar, among others.
Addressing the players and organisers, Khader extended his best wishes to all participating teams and urged the players to uphold the spirit of sportsmanship. He said such sporting events play a vital role in promoting unity, discipline, and harmony among the youth.
The cricket tournament, which began on November 21, is scheduled to conclude with the final match on December 21. The event is being organised as part of the golden jubilee celebrations of the Cosmos Sports Centre.
The Cosmos Sports Centre, a member club of the Bhatkal Muslim Youth Federation, is widely known for its contribution to sports development as well as its involvement in social and community initiatives, including efforts to promote education among students.
