Arab-Islamic Leaders Assemble in Qatar to Respond to Israeli Strikes on Doha

Leaders from across the Arab and Islamic world are meeting in Doha, Qatar, to discuss a coordinated response to last week’s Israeli airstrikes on the Qatari capital. Israel claimed the strikes targeted Hamas leadership but the attack sent shockwaves throughout the Middle East, raising tensions regionally and internationally.

The summit includes representatives from the 57 countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the 22-member Arab League. Notable attendees confirmed include Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Malaysia’s Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
