Anjuman PU College Bhatkal Holds Annual Programme, Emphasises Education for Service to Humanity
Maulana Abdul Aleem Khateeb Nadwi urges students to focus on character, values, and social responsibility along with academics.

The annual programme of Anjuman PU College, Bhatkal, was held on Thursday, January 29, at 9:30 am on the college campus, with students, faculty members, and dignitaries in attendance.
Delivering the keynote address, chief guest Maulana Abdul Aleem Khateeb Nadvi, Khateeb of Bhatkal Jamia Masjid, said that the true aim of education should be to serve humanity and seek the pleasure of Almighty Allah. He stressed that education must go beyond earning degrees and should help build good character, strong morals, and noble values.
Addressing the students, Maulana Abdul Aleem said that irrespective of the careers they choose—whether as doctors, engineers, scientists, or politicians—they should first strive to become good human beings who contribute positively to society.
He also highlighted the importance of time management, describing it as the foundation of discipline and success. He advised students to use their time wisely, plan their daily activities, and avoid laziness and procrastination.
The programme began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by a student, followed by a naat. Abdul Badi welcomed the gathering, while Abdul Samee presented a ghazal. College Principal Mohammad Muneeb Saada later presented the annual report, outlining the institution’s academic progress, activities, and achievements over the year.
The event was presided over by Mohammad Sadiq Pillur, Vice President of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen, Bhatkal. Abdul Raheem Damudi and Syed Mohammad Hayaan compered the programme, and Saihan Sheikh delivered the vote of thanks.
Several office-bearers and dignitaries were present, including Anjuman General Secretary Ishaq Shabandari, College Board Secretary Fayyaz Kola, High School Board Secretary Saadullah Ruknuddin, along with other members of the Anjuman.
