Bhatkal (Fikrokhabar News): Anjuman Girls’ High School marked its 54th Annual Social Gathering on 30 November 2025 with a vibrant and uplifting ceremony held on the school campus at Basti Road. Students, parents, teachers and invited guests came together to celebrate a year of growth, achievement and community spirit.

The program was graced by distinguished dignitaries including Chief Guest Dr. Vaseema Ayub Siddibapa, Specialist at the Ministry of Health, Oman; Guest of Honour Mrs. Noor Jahan Imran Mohtesham, teacher at Prestige International School, Mangaluru; and Presiding Officer Mrs. Seema Abubakar Kasimji, Chairperson of the Ladies Advisory Committee.

The event began with a recitation of Qir’ath by Maryam Siddibapa, followed by a moving Naat by Munazira Taiba. The school anthem, Tarana-e-Anjuman, was then presented melodiously by Munazira Taiba and team. A warm welcome address was delivered by Mrs. Nusrat Jahan Gangoli, setting a gracious tone for the evening.

The comprehensive Annual School Report was presented by Aseeya A.G., highlighting achievements in academics, extracurricular activities and ongoing community initiatives.

In her keynote address, Dr. Vaseema Ayub Siddibapa spoke on the critical question students face after completing class 10—“What should I do next?” She urged students to choose careers aligned with their interests and strengths, and reminded parents to support their children’s individuality rather than impose expectations. “A child shines brightest when they walk on a path that truly belongs to them,” she said.

Mrs. Noor Jahan Imran Mohtesham, in her address, emphasized gratitude, obedience and respect as essential values. She described parents as a child’s first teachers and teachers as the “silent architects” of every student’s future, reminding students that respectful conduct leaves a lasting impression.

Presiding Officer Mrs. Seema Abubakar Kasimji applauded the institution’s long-standing role in empowering girls, noting that Anjuman Girls’ High School has produced numerous professionals including doctors, engineers and lawyers. She encouraged students of Classes 8 and 9 to strengthen their academic base, and advised 10th standard students to prepare sincerely for their board exams. She also invited everyone to the upcoming Anjuman Day celebrations scheduled for 13–14 December at Anjuman Abad.

A major highlight of the event was the announcement of top honours for the academic year 2025–26:

  • Batool-e-Anjuman 2025 (Gold Medal): Amina Rimsa D/o Irshad Ahmed Shabandari
  • Batool-e-Anjuman Runner-up: Ariha Kashimji D/o Mohammed Yunus Kashimji
  • Eminent Student Award: Umme Sulaim D/o Ibrahim Betkeri

These awards will be formally presented during the Anjuman Day festivities.

The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Miss Hiba Syed, who expressed gratitude to the management, guests, faculty, parents and students for their support in making the event a grand success.

The 54th Annual Social Gathering stood out as a joyful and memorable celebration, reflecting the rich traditions and educational values of Anjuman Girls’ High School, Bhatkal.
