Anjuman Pre-University College for Boys (APUCB) in Bhatkal successfully organized the fourth edition of Anjuman Explora, an inter-school competition that brought together young talent from across the region.

The event, held in 2025, saw enthusiastic participation from 268 students representing 16 schools. Students came from Bhatkal, neighboring taluks of Honnavar and Byndoor, and the Udupi district to compete in various activities.

Opening Ceremony

The day began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by an inaugural ceremony attended by several dignitaries. Mr. Rayees Shabandri, a business consultant and marketing strategist, was the chief guest. In his address, he spoke about the importance of discipline, strong character, and career planning for students.

Mohammed Ishaque Shabandri, General Secretary of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen, presided over the function. Other guests included Ismail Jukaku (Additional General Secretary), Faiyaz Ahmed Kola (College Board Secretary), Mohammed Muneeb Sada (APUCB Principal), and Yousuf Kola (Principal of Anjuman Degree College).

The program was coordinated by APUCB lecturers Noorulayn Katpadi and Kiran Devadiga. Vice-Principal Abdul Raheem Khan served as the Master of Ceremonies.

Five Competitions Held

Students competed in five different events designed to test creativity, teamwork, and skill:

  1. Treasure Hunt
  2. Technovate (Science Working Model Competition)
  3. Memory Test
  4. Mr. Fit Competition
  5. Lagori

Treasure Hunt

  • First: Faheem Ahmed and team (Islamia Anglo-Urdu High School, Bhatkal)
  • Second: Harsha V. Naik and team (Government High School, Tengingundi)
  • Third: Abdul Qavi and team (New Shams School, Bhatkal)

Technovate

  • First: Mohammed Sahil and Bilal (Anjuman Boys High School)
  • Second: Siman and Ikrima (New Shams School)
  • Third: Bilal and Abdul Barr (Ali Public School)

Memory Test

  • First: Laman Lanka (Ali Public School)
  • Second: Abdul Bari Arihuri (Touheed English Medium School, Gangolli)
  • Third: Mohammed Areeb Karani (Touheed English Medium School, Gangolli)

Mr. Fit Competition

  • First: Dhanush Krishna Gond (Government High School, Kuntavani)
  • Second: Mohammed Tazeem (Touheed English Medium School, Shiroor)
  • Third: Manvit (Government High School, Tengingundi)

Lagori

  • First: Mohammed Rafid and team (Knowledge International Arabic School, Shiroor)
  • Second: Mohammed Arham and team (New Shams School)
  • Third: Syed Minam SM and team (Anjuman Boys High School, Bhatkal)

Success Through Teamwork

The event’s success was made possible through the combined efforts of teaching staff, non-teaching staff, and student volunteers. The college management thanked all participating schools, students, team managers, and volunteers for their contribution.

APUCB, which operates under the management of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen, said it remains committed to organizing such events in the future to encourage creativity, teamwork, and academic excellence among students.
