Anjuman College Bhatkal holds Orientation Programme 2025 for new students

The Orientation Programme 2025 for newly admitted students at Anjuman Arts, Science & Commerce College, Bhatkal, was held on 14 August 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the College Function Hall. The session aimed to familiarize freshers with campus culture, academic resources, and growth opportunities as they begin their higher education journey.
Hosted by Ms. Maviz of B.Com final year, the programme opened with a welcome address by Student Welfare Officer, Prof. Mohammad Ganim, who explained that the orientation is designed to help students integrate smoothly into both the academic and cultural environment of the college. A brief introduction of the Chief Guest was presented by Mr. Ismail Ghanem from B.Com first year.
Principal Prof. Mohammed Yusuf Kola delivered a detailed address of about 40 minutes, introducing faculty members, outlining available academic resources, and setting clear expectations around discipline and campus conduct. He encouraged students to build a positive mindset, expand their networks, grow self-confidence, and focus on communication skills, emphasizing that discipline remains a key factor for success in life.
Chief Guest and Resource Person, Mr. Fahim Raza, Procurement Manager at Emirates, delivered an inspirational talk built around his mantra: “Be positive always, speak positive always, think positive always”. He stressed that college is not limited to academics—it is also a platform to explore, create, develop skills, and nurture curiosity. Urging students to aim high, he shared practical guidance:
- Take up entrepreneurship.
- Seek mentorship and guidance from professors.
- Build a habit of continuous learning and problem-solving.
- Plan personally, manage time effectively, and strengthen English communication through reading and regular practice.
Mr. Raza also encouraged students to create their own identity, take pride in being from Bhatkal wherever they go, and remain inquisitive by asking questions without hesitation. He shared relationship insights and personal life lessons to support holistic development—both professionally and personally.
A lively Q&A session followed, with career-related questions from both faculty and students. The college presented a memento to the Chief Guest, handed over by the Principal in the presence of the Student Welfare Officer. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Sanaullah Sheikh, a BA second-year student, acknowledging everyone who contributed to the event’s success.
