Anjuman Boys’ High School Holds Annual Gathering; Waqar-e-Anjuman Gold Medal Awarded to Elaaf S/O Raees Farooqi
Outstanding students honoured as the school celebrates academic and co-curricular achievements.
Bhatkal: The Anjuman Boys’ English Medium High School held its annual gathering this morning on the school campus. The event was graced by the former General Secretary of the Bhatkal Muslim Jamaat, Dubai, and well-known Nawayath historian, Maulana Abdul Mateen Muniri, who attended as the chief guest. In his address, Maulana highlighted the importance of not only education but also moral upbringing, character building and values. He offered valuable advice and encouragement to the students.
During the programme, it was announced that the Waqar-e-Anjuman Gold Medal will be awarded to the school’s outstanding student Elaaf S/O Raees Farooqi. The runners-up declared for the honour are Mohammed Jasim S/O Umar Javed Tonse and Mohammed Siyan S/O Hussain Shabbir Pote. These awards will be formally presented on the first day of Anjuman Day celebrations on 13 December.
This year’s annual gathering also featured prize distribution for students who excelled in literary and sports competitions.
Presided over by the President of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen, Mohammed Yunus Qaziya, the event began with a recitation of the Holy Qur’an by student Mohammed Nuh Sa’ada. Mohammed Hasan Damda Abu presented a Na’at, while Fahad Ajaib welcomed the audience. Tahira Mohammed Muzammil introduced the chief guest.
Headmaster Hafiz Abdullah Ruknuddin presented the annual report, giving a detailed overview of the school’s academic activities and achievements throughout the year. Students also presented the Anjuman anthem. The vote of thanks was delivered by teacher Muhiuddin Sufyan.
The program was attended by the Anjuman General Secretary Ishaque Shabandri, vice presidents, the High School Board Secretary, the Primary Board Secretary, other officials, members, and a large number of parents and well-wishers.
