Maulana Hizqeel Akrami, Mohammed’s Hifz teacher and Urdu lecturer, spoke warmly about the late student’s spiritual journey. He revealed that Mohtesham had memorized 10 Juz of the Quran during his high school years and had intended to complete the Hifz after pausing for his 10th board exams. “He was sincere and spiritually inclined,” the Maulana said, praying that Allah accepts him among the Huffaz (those who have memorized the Quran).

He also praised Mohammed as a polite and disciplined student who had never caused any concern throughout his time at the institution.

Maulana Abdullah Shurieh delivered a heartfelt speech, reminding attendees of the temporary nature of life with the Quranic verse, “Every soul shall taste death.” He described Mohammed as a pious and respectful young man who embodied Islamic values, quoting Hadith to encourage the audience to lead a righteous life.

Addressing a critical issue, Maulana Maqbool Kobbatte, President of Ali Public Institutions, urged students to take road safety seriously. He stressed the dangers of underage driving, the importance of wearing helmets, and following traffic rules strictly. His message was a call for greater responsibility among youth.

Principal Mr. Saheel Ahmed also paid tribute to Mohtesham, remembering him as a bright and well-mannered student with a clean disciplinary record throughout his 1.5 years at the college. He also advised students against using mobile phones while riding or driving, emphasizing that life is too precious to risk.

Adding a personal touch to the event, Mohammed’s close friends Mohiddin Motiya, Abdullah Saami Sada, Buranuddin Kaif, and Fehman Damda shared their fond memories. Their emotional speeches highlighted Mohammed generosity, respectful nature, and positive attitude. They described him as someone who was always willing to help, deeply respected his teachers, and brought joy to those around him.

Maulana Ilyas Jakti Nadwi encouraged students to honour Mohammed’s memory by embodying his good character and commitment to faith.

The event was attended by Mohammed’s father, Mohammed Anees Mohtesham, along with other family members, friends, teachers, and several prominent scholars, including Maulana Maqbool Kobatte, Moulana Irshad Khalifa, Maulana Abdul Bari Damda, and Maulana Ahmed Baida.

The program concluded with a heartfelt dua (supplication) led by Maulana Ahmed Baida, praying for forgiveness, mercy, and the highest rank in Paradise (Jannatul Firdaus) for the departed soul.

May Allah (SWT) grant peace to Mohammed Mohtesham and give strength to his grieving family. Ameen.
