Al-Aqsa Preacher Sheikh Mohammad Sarandah Stopped by Israeli Police from Entering Mosque

Israeli police on Friday arrested Sheikh Mohammad Sarandah, the preacher (Khateeb) of Al-Aqsa Mosque, soon after the weekly Friday prayers in Jerusalem.
According to the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf, Sheikh Sarandah was released later the same day, but police told him he cannot enter Al-Aqsa Mosque for one week. The Waqf also said this ban could be extended further, though no reasons were given for the arrest or the restriction.
So far, Israeli authorities have not made any public comment about the incident.
