New Delhi: The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has called on Muslims across the country to offer special prayers ahead of the Supreme Court’s ruling on the Waqf Act, expected on September 15, 2025.

In a statement issued by General Secretary Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani, the board described this as a “critical time” and appealed to members, office-bearers, and the wider community to seek divine help for a favorable outcome.

The AIMPLB said it has fought the case at every level, organizing press conferences, mobilizing public opinion, and engaging some of the country’s top lawyers. Their efforts, the board noted, have already led the Supreme Court to grant a temporary stay on three provisions of the law.

With the final verdict approaching, the board has urged Muslims to perform Salat al-Hajat (special prayers) daily until September 15. It also encouraged reciting Durood Sharif and the supplication Hasbunallahu wa Ni’mal Wakeel (“Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs”).

The statement underlined that while the legal process continues, the ultimate decision rests with God. The AIMPLB expressed hope that the combination of legal arguments and collective prayers would lead to a ruling consistent with Sharia principles and bring peace of mind to the community.

Mosques across the country have also been asked to include special supplications in their congregational prayers.
